French Project? Pfft...

French Project? Pfft…

On Monday le Thomas and I were assigned a French project, so we decided to meet up after school. But when we discovered that the pool was 71 degrees, well, we got a little distracted.

We invited Colin and Zeus to swim with us, but Zeus was more interested in drinking the water than swimming in it…

I don't think he likes the pool very much...

So, after doing a couple cartwheels and various other gymnastics to dry off…

We walked to the corner store and FINALLY found some banana popsicles!

And while we were there we saw some Bristol boards which reminded us that we had a French project to do. Sadly, after we returned to le Thomas’s house, it was time for me to go home…

However, Monday was not entirely unproductive, because we are adding two new things to the bucket list:
28. Master cartwheels, round offs, handsprings, walkovers, and handstands by the end of the summer.
29. Teach Zeus not to bark anymore when le Bauer arrives.

The next day, I met up with le Thomas again to finish our French project. It took a total of about eight minutes, so we went for another swim. (It was 74 degrees!) This time, we decided to try and accomplish something from our bucket list. So we went for number eight, do a flip into a pool.

As you can clearly tell, we may need a little bit more practice… So that doesn’t count.

On Wednesday, I bet you can guess what happened. I went to visit le Thomas once again. This time, she had all her clothes spread out on her living room floor and needed help sorting through them. She had already started by the time I arrived because I was distracted by a crow…

And a robin…

And some lilacs.

And then when I got there I got distracted by all her pretty clothes, and a zipper I found in her basement, so we went outside to take pictures.

And then we wasted so much time doing that that it got dark and I had to go home.

It’s a wonder we barely finished our French project in time...

Tree Climbing, Banana Popsicles, and Action Shots FTW

On Friday night Yasmin joined Thomas and I to pick out the tree we will be spending all day in. (See number seven on our bucket list). We had to climb for a while until we found the perfect one.
I don't understand...

A picture of le Bauer? How did that happen? (Don't judge, there were bugs everywhere).

Of course, Yasmin had no trouble at all reaching the top of it…
HOW?!

Yes... there is a girl in that picture.

While Thomas and I had to figure a more… erhm… convenient way of climbing.
Don’t judge, it’s a big tree.

After that we decided to go for a walk. We found a tree house that was on the edge of someone’s property… But we climbed it anyway. Which kind of counts for number nineteen, (climb the roof of something), but we decided not to count it.

Then we spotted a barn on the other side of a HUGE field. We started walking towards it, but we ended up turning back because A) it was incredibly far away, and B) we don’t know who owns it, and C) we ran into a marsh type thing that we couldn’t get across.

Apparently le Thomas got tired of walking...

So we gave up on finding a barn and decided to make some fish sticks…
Le Thomas misses her mouth...

The next day we met up again at Thomas’s house to swim. (It was only 61 degrees… FREEZING). Since Yasmin refused to jump in we were forced to corner her and throw her in… hehehe.
ZEUSSEEE!
(Right after this picture was taken Yasmin erhm… ‘fell’ into the deep end… Yes, we are evil).

After our swim, we all suddenly had a craving for banana popsicles. We walked to the gas station… They had none. We walked to the Pit Stop… They had none. So we returned to Thomas’s house to ask her mom for a ride to the grocery store. She agreed… But only if we cut the heads off an entire bowl of dandelions… Apparently she was making dandelion wine. We did, so she drove us to the grocery store and… They had none. Not a good day for banana popsicles.

After we settled for ice cream sandwiches, we took some pictures of us doing cartwheels.
Le Thomas

(I don’t know how to do a cartwheel, so I do this instead).

Le Thomas again.

Le Yasmin.

You know you're best friends when your cartwheels are in sync!

So this weekend, we completed nothing on our bucket list. Oh well, summer has not yet begun!

Us, and our Bucket List

Welcome! I see you, an internet dweller of the twenty-first century, have stumbled upon our blog. My name is Emily, and my friend is named Emily too! To avoid confusion, we will call ourselves by our last names.

I am Bauer:

And this is Thomas:

This summer, Thomas and I have decided to create a bucket list! Here it is so far:

1. Camp out
2. Buy ice cream at Ozzie's and Fire-it-up (the two ice cream parlours in our town)
3. Picnic in the woods (we found this forest the other day, and we shall return!)

4. Jump off the swings at the park (never gets old)
5. Make a movie
6. Stay up all night
7. Climb a tree and stay in it all day (We are jealous of our friend Yasmin's tree climbing skills...)

8. Do a flip into a pool
9. Take pictures underwater (We have a friend who owns an underwater camera)
10. Build a tree fort
11. Watch a really stupid movie
12. Spend all day at the beach
13. Play tetherball
14. Dig as far as we can at the park
15. Dance in the rain
16. Find the end Buckles (we found a seemingly never-ending trail... and now we must find out where it leads us!)

17. See how many different birds we can take pictures of
18. See Muffin again! (Muffin is a random cat that only shows up at my house when Thomas is there... odd. And we named it Muffin. Just because. He/she likes to roll in the dirt.)
19. Climb the roof of something.
20. Train Zeus to growl on command. (Zeus is a puppy belonging to Thomas).
21. Climb the hut- I mean pile of sticks. (A giant pile of branches that I always call a hut by mistake. This is a picture of my brother on top of it!)
22. Paint our faces and bodies stupidly.
23. Take pictures in a barn/hayloft
24. Get Zeus to do another flip. (Her dog once did a flip onto my lap from the ground... We are not sure how, but we intend to find out!)
25. Eat something non-Chinese with chopsticks.
26. BBQ something delicious.
27. Roll down a hill in a tire. (I'm thinking I will do this one while wrapped up bubble wrap, just to make it more interesting.)

We shall keep you posted once we think of more ideas, and when we start on our bucket list!
