French Project? Pfft…
On Monday le Thomas and I were assigned a French project, so
we decided to meet up after school. But when we discovered that the pool was 71
degrees, well, we got a little distracted.

We invited Colin and Zeus to swim with us, but Zeus was more
interested in drinking the water than swimming in it…
I don't think he likes the pool very much...
So, after doing a couple cartwheels and various other
gymnastics to dry off…
We walked to the corner store and FINALLY found some banana
popsicles!
And while we were there we saw some Bristol boards which
reminded us that we had a French project to do. Sadly, after we returned to le
Thomas’s house, it was time for me to go home…
However, Monday was not entirely unproductive, because we
are adding two new things to the bucket list:
28. Master cartwheels, round offs, handsprings, walkovers,
and handstands by the end of the summer.
29. Teach Zeus not to bark anymore when le Bauer arrives.
The next day, I met up with le Thomas again to finish our
French project. It took a total of about eight minutes, so we went for another
swim. (It was 74 degrees!) This time, we decided to try and accomplish something from our bucket
list. So we went for number eight, do a flip into a pool.
As you can clearly tell, we may need a little bit more
practice… So that doesn’t count.
On Wednesday, I bet you can guess what happened. I went to
visit le Thomas once again. This time, she had all her clothes spread out on
her living room floor and needed help sorting through them. She had already
started by the time I arrived because I was distracted by a crow…
And a robin…
And some lilacs.
And then when I got there I got distracted by all her pretty
clothes, and a zipper I found in her basement, so we went outside to take
pictures.
And then we wasted so much time doing that that it got dark
and I had to go home.
It’s a wonder we barely finished our French project in time...
